• Workspace content: Tasks, quests, inbox items, and other content you enter into Start This Task so the product can save and show your work.
• AI request information: Information needed to generate task breakdowns and operate the AI-assisted flow.
• Cookie-free aggregate analytics: We use cookie-free, aggregated web analytics to understand page visits, referrers, device types, and selected product interactions. We do not send task text, Quest or Inbox content, account identifiers, email addresses, or payment details to this analytics service.
• Reliability data: Limited technical facts needed to understand errors, request timing, and whether the service is operating correctly. AI request lifecycle records may be incomplete and are not treated as a complete user activity history.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain Start This Task
• To authenticate your account and keep your workspace available
• To save and display your tasks, quests, and related product state
• To generate AI-assisted task breakdowns when you request them
• To provide support and respond to messages

Cookie-Free Aggregate Analytics

Our aggregate web analytics does not set an analytics cookie, create an analytics visitor ID, or link analytics activity to your Start This Task account. Selected interaction events use only short, predefined categories. We do not send free-form task content, full URLs, query strings, account IDs, email addresses, customer IDs, subscription IDs, or payment details.

Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services for Google sign-in, hosting, database storage, email delivery, support, analytics or reliability monitoring, AI processing, and payment processing. These providers only receive information needed to provide their part of the service.

Payment details are handled by the payment provider. We do not ask you to send payment credentials to us through chat or support email.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No internet service can guarantee perfect security.

Data Retention

We keep account and workspace information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or improve product reliability. Aggregate analytics is retained according to our hosting provider's analytics settings and does not contain a Start This Task analytics visitor ID or account link.

Your Choices

You can contact us to ask questions about your information. Essential login or workspace cookies may be required for the service to function. Our aggregate web analytics does not use an analytics consent cookie or analytics visitor cookie.
