This Cookie Policy explains how Start This Task uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the service working, remember preferences, and improve reliability.

What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit.

How We Use Cookies

We may use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Essential Cookies: These cookies are needed for login, session security, and core product functions.
  • Preference Cookies: These cookies remember settings such as language or display preferences.
  • Optional analysis preference: stt_measurement_choice remembers a choice you make for 30 days. Refusing optional measurement does not affect the product.
  • Optional linked analysis: Only after you allow analysis, stt_measurement_context stores a signed random visitor/session identifier for up to 30 days. A session expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. We do not derive identifiers from IP addresses or device fingerprints.
  • Unlinked totals: The UK statistical-purpose path does not set an analytics identifier or link its daily totals to an account. Other unconsented locations are not measured. Browser privacy signals and the controls below can turn off optional analysis.

We do not describe Start This Task as using advertising or targeted marketing cookies unless that changes in the product.
